My name is Petra Smolcic and I'm currently living in Germany, born on the coast of Croatia. I've always been in design and media – I started using Photoshop when I was 12!

I am now an independent UX/UI designer with mission to help you achieve business success using user-centered design.

My core service is being there as a UX/UI designer translating your business needs and goals into a product (website, custom software…) which is essential to business owners.

I can help you get the solution you need and that works up 5 times faster compared to my competitors with emphasis on creating a solution that speaks your needs.

Started my first freelancing job in 2012. (khmm, or not, 13 is too young…) doing twitter backgrounds and in 2024. officially starting my own business.

Finally, I took the courage to start my own business and do the job that fulfills me. Working for SaaS, helping businesses in their digital transformation.

First-time in-person speaker! SXC 2023, Stockholm Sweden

K15t – Product Designer, 2022–2023.

Product designer for Scroll Viewport, fastest growing application in the company. Working in the core team of the project as a lead of Frontend team (FE + UX/UI)

Deepr – UX/UI Designer, 2022.

UX/UI designer for a digital agency in Stuttgart. Working as a senior UX/UI designer, working on various CMS projects and mentoring working students in UX/UI design and Figma.

Locastic – UX Researcher & Junior UX/UI Designer, 2020-2022.

Started as a UX Researcher in a digital agency, working on over 50 projects with complex custom softwares, prototypes and flowcharts. I was go-to person for UX and transitioned into product design & design system creations.

Freelance – Visual designer, 2017. – 2020.

While in UNI, I started freelancing for various projects mostly including branding design & web design. I’ve done over 70 projects on platforms like Fiverr, 99designs and helping local businesses.

UMAS – Visual Communication Designer Bacc.art 2017. – 2020.

Getting my bachelor in Visual Communication design on Art’s Academy in Split, Croatia. Learned typography, photography, sociology, UX/UI and 40+ more subjects. Organizator of first two KOMBO festivals, various work exhibitions.

GOGGS – Media technician (High School) 2013. – 2017.

Getting my high school diploma as media technician in School of design, graphics and sustainable development in Split, Croatia. Learned animations, photography, web development. Presented Croatia in European Parliament in Strasbourg as part of EuroScola.

Forums – Designer (Hobbi) 2009 ??

My passion for web design started with forums... you remember those, right!? I had a series I loved and I made graphics of my favourite characters in Photoshop (aged 11). I started creating my own forums and first interactions with admin panels & CSS. <3
